Description Nebulizers are useful therapeutic tools in obstructive diseases while also used for humidification-liquefaction of secretions and, in selected cases, to induce expectoration through hypertension solution to obtain material for sputum tests. These are simple, easy-to-use devices designed for home care, whose role is to conversion of the drug from a liquid to a gaseous form by floating droplets that are easily transported in the lower respiratory tract without being required the patient's effort or cooperation and coordination. The use of nebulizers at home by patients with severe and chronic respiratory diseases provides the possibility of applying ‘hospital type’ treatment and possibly reducing the chance of hospitalization.
